About me
I am environmental scientist and engineer. I graduated with my PhD from the University of South Florida in environmental engineering. My doctoral dissertation research topics were on the topics of water reuse including:
Constructed Wetlands and Antibiotic Resistance in Genes and Bacteria
Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems
Perceptions of Water Reuse
My current postdoctoral research is on engineering education and environmental justice.
Over the course of my doctoral and postdoctoral research I have gained experience in efforts to increase diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion in engineering.

2020-2022
I had the unique privilege to work for the Diversity Program in the College of Engineering at USF. In the span of two years, I was the administrative graduate assistant helping behind the scenes to make sure that programs for minority success were robust and functioned smoothly. I worked on projects for the USF Sloan University Center for Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM), and the Florida Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance (FGLSAMP) Bridge to Doctorate Alliance for Minority Participation.
I also collected and analyzed data on minority recruitment, retention and success rates in the College of Engineering.
I served as the president for the Sloan Leadership Council where I led initiatives for community building, well-being and professional development.
